Regional media workshop @ Raipur

UNICEF is organizing two day “Regional media workshop on RI” on October 13-14, 2014 at Raipur, with aim to facilitate an exchange of ideas on how media can best be leveraged to build awareness on the importance of vaccines. It will also seek to address the root causes of inequity and focus on ways to ensure that all children, especially the most disadvantaged, have access to Routine Immunization.

The meet is being organized by UNICEF, in collaboration with Samyak Foundation. Media representatives from the states of Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Bihar will be attending this residential workshop.

The workshops are being held for print media persons from the nine low RI states of UP, MP, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Assam and Odisha. One such workshop involving media from the states of Odissa, Assam, Delhi, has been recently held in Patna in September. Earlier a similar workshop was held for Radio journalists.
